Where we are
Nob Hill, and the particular problem of living at 5,300 feet.
Albuquerque sits roughly a mile above sea level, and ultraviolet intensity climbs with elevation. That is why the concerns that walk through our door are so consistent: sun spots, melasma, uneven tone and the fine textural damage that comes from decades of strong light. Pigment correction is the thing we do most, and the thing we are most careful about.
The dry air is the other half of it. On a spring afternoon here the humidity can drop into single digits, which is hard on a compromised skin barrier and harder still on skin that has just been treated. So barrier repair and hydration are not an upsell at Sereno, they are part of the plan.
And the part nobody enjoys hearing: sun protection between sessions genuinely decides whether pigment work holds. Treating sun damage in this city without daily protection is paying to repeat yourself. We would rather say that at consultation than after your third IPL.
